You N***as Should Be Ashamed of Yourselves

Posted by YungJazz Nov. 12, 2008 @ 10:36 AM EST

This is aimed at some people of my own ethnicity. What the hell do you call this?

.

Stop looking at fucking skin color and start paying attention, damn. Yes I voted for Obama too, but if you voted for him just because he's black, that makes you just as much of a racist as the trailer-trash motherfucker wearing this shirt. Quit being ignorant.

In other news, still flashimating, and still hoping to poop a finale to DevilSlayer into the portal by the end of this year. Then this horrible storyline will quit haunting my dreams dammit. I still want to use the characters and the world they're in, but not for a generic ass mix of Devil May Cry and X-Men. Don't be surprised if this is rushed.

btw i get what ya mean =/ im not american but i would of voted for obama not for his color but for his ideas

and thankyou for that

Nov. 12, 2008 | 10:49 AM pirtaral says:

Can't say I'm suprised.
Not one bit.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 10:54 AM maxvm says:

My dad always likes to explain that the media is all over Obama because of his skin colour. I barely notice that he's black, I like him because he has the best character.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:32 AM YungJazz responds:

that's how it should be

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:04 AM Orazner says:

Some people really are too judgemental on skin colour and nationality. Racial sensitivity is at an all time high too, people just take somethings too seriously, all over the world. Like here in the UK, there's so much hatred towards immigrants, but what these people forget is that Britain and its people are a mix of various immigrants, and it made it a stronger country for it too. People need to sort it out. A little off the point you made but still.

Oh and good luck with the flash and whatever your going to follow up with instead.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:33 AM YungJazz responds:

thanks, and i think i get you, but people being offensive just for the sake of being a dick is at an all time high too. everybody needs to stop.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:06 AM Catoblepas says:

Go ahead and ignore a question.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:25 AM YungJazz responds:

it's a dumb question, if the post is aimed at black people and i'm black, what do you think it means?

Updated: Nov. 12, 2008, 11:25 AM

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:08 AM Osuka says:

Dude, i was expecting that Obama wins, not because he´s black, he looks really different compared to the other presidents (not because of the Skin color), hes ideas are fresh and interesting, and i think that bush is a president who hurt a lot that country, voting for McCain is like voting for a Bush II.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:26 AM YungJazz responds:

lol I rememver a SNL skit where somebody said EXACTLY that

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:09 AM RatherRandom says:

I live in Harlem. And this is not typical. Look, there's morons everywhere. Morons are probably equally distributed in every area of the world. No matter what happens there will be people that don't know what's going on. You can pull out the same trick in every city in the world about every issue in the world. That's the difference about smart people and dumb people. If you ask a smart person to comment on a subject matter they are not aware of, they'll tell you:" I don't know. I am not familiar with this problem, I'll have to do some research and maybe I'll be able to answer your question." If you ask a dumbass to comment on a subject matter they are not aware of, they'll always try to bullshit their way through, hoping that they'll hide their ignorance. It's always going to be like that.
Take it easy, man.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:30 AM YungJazz responds:

I know, and I hope you don't think this is aimed at Harlem. i grew up in Detroit, and got the same thing, and even now that i've been living in Lansing, MI for 3 years (Which is suburban as hell) i can name 12 people on my block who would answer these questions the exact same way. still a pain in the ass.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:24 AM fallensoul289 says:

honestly howard stern is a very wise man and for the record that women on there is robin quivers and shes black so yeah now i dont agree with black ppl voting for obama cause hes black honestly i like both mcain and obamas ideas but only certain ones

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:43 AM Cambo says:

I don't think it's any secret that there are dumbass voters out there. And I don't think a pre-recorded, edited vox pop changes anything. Keep in mind you've got to be pretty sceptical about the whole process - of the recordings made during that day they've chosen the stupidest people they could find, so whatever was left on the cutting room floor, I'm guessing, was people who were informed enough to call bullshit.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 11:44 AM RatherRandom says:

No, no, I don't think it's aimed at Harlem. And even if it was, I'm not American, nor black. I'm a white Bulgarian. So I don't care and cannot be offended. But I've lived here for three years, and all I'm trying to say is that this video does not represent what the majority of people in Harlem are.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 12:00 PM Elvar says:

Obama is awesome=) I think he will do many great things in the future^^

Nov. 12, 2008 | 12:22 PM Catoblepas says:

Thanks for clearing out you're a douche. I bet "your people" as in black people appreciate your patronizing.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 12:33 PM YungJazz responds:

lol ok

Nov. 12, 2008 | 1:06 PM MindChamber says:

Lol, using racism to plug an update on your cartoon. Its gettin fuckin old.

if you don't have enough faith in you own work, that you feel you have to add, n***a in your Blog topic then learn on how to be creatve when presenting your work.

Funny how you try to claim your breaking down walls with your flashes, yet all I see in your hand lately is a brick in one hand and cement spackle in the other.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 1:08 PM Incognitus says:

I still think it's a big step backwards how we're still classing people into 'races' over skin colour. It's outdated thinking. Fair enough, there's a lot of discrimination in the world, but how are you going to get equality when you create divisions in the first place whilst getting sensitive over the diversity that exists? It's ridiculous that the African-American community is overprotected whilst discrimination towards people who can't defend themselves, like the elderly or disabled, is often socially acceptable or ignored.

That being said, I'd say it was Bush's legacy, McCain choosing Palin and the recent market crash that really put the vote in Obama's favour, yet there must have been a lot of fad voting going down.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 1:13 PM Quidoo says:

Yeah, black people voting for Obama due to skin colour was probably a bigger problem than white people not voting for him for the exact same reason...

Not that voting for Obama is a problem, if McCain had won...........I dread to think what would have happened...

Barrack ftw!

Nov. 12, 2008 | 1:26 PM Osuka says:

Nov. 12, 2008 | 2:07 PM YungJazz responds:

lol look everyone it's the malcom x of newgrounds LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nov. 12, 2008 | 1:45 PM Terrabain says:

The ignorance of humanity never ceases to amaze me. We are not a particularly bright species, are we?

Obama is a beacon of hope in a desolate wasteland of lies, jingoism, and hatred. He has ideas that will improve the country in any number of ways, and some people are still hung up on the colour of his skin. I regard skin colour in the same manner I regard hair colour; it is a cosmetic thing, nothing more.

By the way, love your art style.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 2:11 PM YungJazz responds:

Exactly. I've heard many of my professors say the exact same thing, race doesn't even exist biologically. Glad you see that though, here's to hoping he doesn't fuck up lol. I think he'll do alright.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 2:12 PM JoSilver says:

People are idoits that all there is to it! I want obama for for president not because he is balck but for to reasons. I do not agree with most McCain's policies and Palin is an idiot!!! Has anyone listened to that woman SPEAK!!! I was watching the debate between Biden and Palin, Biden answered the questions as they were asked and Palin was sorta avoiding the question and talking BS!! And Everything Biden Said I agreed WIth. People say we are getting better... but although technolgy is far beyond what anyone imagined but were not... Many kids read because they have to and don't read at an approrate level. Same with math and science! As technology advances we become dependent on it thus producing vain, carefree, and stupid people!!! Think people!!!! Think for yourselves!!!!! The man mentioned in the video, who supperted McCain when they told him that obamas idea were McCains and vice verse, is moving in the right direction but needs to be more educated in oder to keep himself from being clasifed as one of the said "MORONS".

Nov. 12, 2008 | 2:24 PM RWA says:

Man you are fucking idiots and racists. Like Obama won just because all black people in Harlem voted for him. America's most population is WHITE! So STFU. And the guy who was wearing that t-shirt should be put in jail for six months (atleast).

BTW awesome pic

Go Obama! Fuck racists!

Nov. 12, 2008 | 2:32 PM NERVdamage says:

Politics is a game. Obama being black was huge for his win for the right reasons and the wrong reasons. I think Obama really didn't win for being black and I also think he could do good for this country but Obama's race will always be a factor during his presidency whether we like it or not and when I mean "we" I mean the American people. (that means everyone Catoblepas.)

Nov. 12, 2008 | 2:43 PM Ukinojoe says:

It's really not fair to say that "a few idiots on the streets of Harlem" constitute the opinions and motives of all black Americans, but that's still pretty funny and aggravating.

On the other hand though, I'm glad those people voted for Obama despite their reasons. Obama thinks logically and has good morals like most democrats so I would've voted for him regardless of skin color, and now that he's elected the next black man to run for president won't be half as big a deal.

The fact of the matter is just that more than half of Americans are fucking stupid, and they'll do something as selfish as staying ignorant about Obama but casting their votes for him anyway. Nonetheless... whether they know it or not, they were on my side on election day. :/ It's stupid that they'd vote based on skin color, but thank god it was only Obama and not someone worse.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 3:20 PM CoolDrMoney says:

I think what Catoblepas is trying to say is that by you saying "my people" youre only furthering the divide between whites and blacks. Am I not one of your people? If you are really for equality then when you say my people you'd mean the entire human race.

For example if I were to say "my people" I'd probably be considered a white supremecist because Im suggesting that african-Americans are not one of my people.

Not that I give a fuck just thought you might need some clarifying

Nov. 12, 2008 | 3:45 PM YungJazz responds:

Edited. It's completely irrelevant to what I'm saying, but I don't want people distracted by it.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 3:22 PM Madmanonfire says:

That shirt should be burned into ashes. Not cool at all.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 3:39 PM ttaisawesome says:

thank you for stating that!

Nov. 12, 2008 | 3:49 PM KingKombat says:

I think we should be proud. the fct that the majority of people voted for obama means we finally accept blacks as americans, something we shouldve done before.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 3:59 PM BludStanes says:

Dude he's only half black. He's mixed not full blooded african-american.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 4:01 PM Nuttro says:

I think if Obama doesn't do a good job, it'll put a strain on race relations even further. Hopefully he'll do well.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 5:46 PM FightingSeraph says:

You're a great artist and animator even if you're, to an extent, misguided. To me, Obama is just four more years of Bush when you take a look at his voting record.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 6:22 PM Valerian says:

I'm Australian, I couldn't give two shits about the American politics. What I want to point out is that it seems American people are just generally more stupid than people elsewhere. I'm not sure what it is, whether its your education or just genetics but seriously, Americans don't know shit about anything outside America and even their knowledge of their own country is terrible.

I have no idea what Obama's policies are, but i honestly hope it involves a better education plan and lockdown on certain celebrities acting like morons with children trying to emulate them.

If you don't understand this then please enroll in a special needs center until you do.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 6:30 PM DanielChae says:

obama won so. it doesnt matter

Nov. 12, 2008 | 6:36 PM Daimanius says:

Racism works both ways. I see a great deal of it from BOTH sides, and it seems that Obama's charm won over crowds more than anything he really had to say. For the most part well-spoken, it's no doubt that he was appealing as an African American and a policy maker. This was also believed to be the case when Kennedy was elected. Young, unique, fresh, he approached America as a real change, only because he was so very young and new. Political alliances aside, this was what I believe to be a large contributing factor in the outcome of the 2008 election.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 8:11 PM Hyrus says:

When I look at a black man, and I see a man who smiles, who exhibits talent, who appreciates his friends and family... I see a man worth my admiration. I see a man who makes the best of his life and surrounds others with happiness. That's a great, great man.

But when I look at a black man who complains about how bad he has it, or how bad "his people" have it, I want to get as far away from that person as possible. What am I suppose to do about his problems? I'm sick and tired of listening to people complain about problems that I can't fix. I can't do anything for them and it makes me miserable having to listen to it. That is not a great man.

No one is immune to hate, crime and the ugly aspects of humanity. No one is dealt a perfect hand of cards in life. How much of your life is going to be wasted scrutinizing over some bad people when you could be focused entirely on the better things in life that matter to you?

I'd rather see you be a great man than just become another who complains about problems that can't be fixed.

Nov. 13, 2008 | 11:00 AM YungJazz responds:

I hope that wasn't aimed at me. All I'm saying to these people is to keep your damn mouth shut if you don't know what you're talking about.

Nov. 12, 2008 | 8:19 PM Noobkiller says:

I understand what you mean. I would of supported Obama (if I was 18 at the time, my birthday was 2 days after the election), but not because "he's black". Doing that is like shooting yourself in the foot. I supported him because I agreed with his energy policy (going into environmental engineering when I go to college) and his plans for the economy. Also, Palin is a retard who doesn't know jack shit about the U.S constitution (hell she got the job of the vice president wrong four times!).

BTW, good luck with your flash series.

Obama may be black, suuure, but what's important is he has a good head on his shoulders. He looks young, and he can talk fast and he has, on at least one occasion, talked about pies. HE KNOWS WHERE MY VOTE IS TURNING! Pies? Wow.

He's a communal talker. He's relaxed, and charismatic and friendly, and keeps political talk to a minimum. And he's got the right ideas about stuff.
