Hey lookie, people are saying my shit looks like the Boondocks again. Let's see how many Newgrounders it takes to completely look past a dude's drawing style, character designs and overall storyline to the skin color of his characters and come to that conclusion.

As usual, I'll be ignoring all reviews that say the word "Boondocks" in it, with 100% accuracy, go ahead try it and find out for sure. Usually, I like communicating with my viewers.

It's a cartoon based on a comic strip that looks like anime, and has predominantly black characters. Since it's one of the few things out there anime & black people related, and so is mine, people always mention the Boondocks when they mention me.
Or were you being sarcastic...

Hate to use this as an example, but like Asher Roth being compared to Eminem because they both rap and their both white.
When people aren't observant of their surroundings they tend to relate it to other things they're use to. In your case the use of black characters in "anime" style even tho it's been done in many shows and comics the boondocks seem to be more recognizable because of the full black cast.

But I'm not surprised why you'd react negatively about it some ppl on the internet are just stupid.

Anyway keep doing what your doing because you got me entertained big step up from your work I seen b4 probably because it was done with a mouse i think.

Exactly man. 95% percent of anime is made up of pale skinned ethnicities, but people don't say Cowboy Bebop is Pokemon. I know I overreact about this most of the time, but it's not even the racial thing so much as it is my work being automatically credited to Aaron McGruder when I've been drawing them and refining them since I was fucking 9 years old, just because of two incredibly broad things like skin color and inspiration from anime.

Preciate the comment, and actually all of my flash work is with a mouse, I never quite got the hang of drawing with a tablet in flash x_X

BoonDocks as a comic strip was extremely political and Hardcore when it came to dissing the System and total Anarchy

they had no holds barred on Political scandals and over all modern day segregation

The first time I encountered your work, I told myself "Eh, finally someone who got that animated series only have caucasian type". All good, all good.
But then I thought "Wait, since these white-only (or mostly) anime are somehow exclusive about a "race" (I hate this term) so is your stuff, and the critics that we could formulate against the omnipresence of white-skinned people in shows can be applied to yours !"
Therefore, I am a bit more skeptical about your series. But the originality is not lacking.

I understand where you're coming from, but you won't find me saying that it's horrible that most anime is bright or anything, I realize people just generally draw people of their ethnicity alot of times, and that's what I'm doing.\

You may hear me bring it up though if somebody asks me, "why are all your characters black?" because, 90% of those people, if you look though their reviews, have never asked anybody else who draws pale-skinned characters a question like that.

It's not that it's a problem that whites/asians draw mostly white/asian characters, but I reserve the right to make all-black cartoons if I want to, if other people aren't considered racist for making their stuff all-white.

Don't know what people are talking about. The characters you draw seem to have a more natural forehead to hairline ratio and ya don't out line the eyes in black to name a few. Frankly 'till you wrote this that thought never entered my mind.

I agree that it's sad when people cant see the difference. Anyhow, love the work. Best thing about the latest was how smooth the animation was of Romeo's eye when he said the line, "...lest just be friends."

Yeah, Boondocks is just generic anime style really, and they rip a style from different cartoon each season, like how 2 was ripped from Fullmetal Alchemist, but it's no big deal. People can say what they want, I like Aaron McGruder but he didn't make or even inspire Necropolis, they can eat a dick.
